AUGUST 1992


In 1992, the Thai aluminium industry was facing a crisis mostly because of two main reasons. Firstly, existing manufacturers could not produce aluminium products of the same high international standard as demanded by both domestic and overseas markets. Secondly, the amount of aluminium produced was not even su!cient for domestic demand.

So, in August 1992, MTAlumet was established with a vision to provide aluminium products of the highest possible quality to achieve optimum satisfaction of customers at all levels. This guiding principle has steered MTAlumet to become one of the most trusted names today in the Thai aluminium market.

Today, the quality of products and services at MTAlumet is regarded as of the same high standard as in Japan, and the company is now ready for a leading role in taking the industry to new horizons of success. (MTAlumet now produces 900 tonnes of aluminium
monthly.)

MILESTONES FOR SUCCESS

2007 Doubled the production capacity of extruded aluminium due to an increasing demand of its customers and built a new powder coating facility and adopted the TPM (Total Preventive Management)    standard. Won the Prime Minister Industry Award from the Thailand Ministry of Industry.
2006 Applied Value Chain and initiated progressive 5S activities.Thailand’s Brand certified for all MTAlumet products.
2005 TISI (Thailand Industrial Standards Institute) certified for aluminium extrusion process and newly designed products manufactured by MTAlumet.
2004 Launched MTAlumet website. Started international export business, directly and indirectly. Set up a new department, Human Resources Development & Training.
2003 ISO 9001:2000 (RW TUV) certified. Chosen as the Role Model Company by TISTR (Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research).
